Bear's room is full of stuff. Things hop into the middle of the room one at a time, and your child decides which box each one belongs in. Tap the box (or drag the thing onto it) and it is put away: it drops in with a happy plop and a burst of stars, and peeks out of the top of the box.
The sorting rule changes from room to room: by kind (fruit, vegetables, toys, clothes), by color (red, blue, yellow and green, each with its own heart, drop, star or leaf mark), by size (big things for Papa Bear, small things for Baby Bear), and by where things go (sky, water or land). The pictures on the kind boxes are never things from that room, so children sort by category rather than matching identical pictures.
There are 6 levels of 4 rooms each, freshly mixed every time. The first two levels have 2 boxes and 5–6 things; later ones grow to 3–4 boxes and up to 10 things.
How to play
- Tap "Play!". The yellow button lets you pick level 1 to 6.
- Read the rule at the top, then look at the thing in the middle of the room: what kind is it, what color, big or small, where does it live? Tap the right box or drag the thing into it.
- Wrong box? No problem: the box gently shakes its head, the thing hops back, and a hint pops up (for example "Strawberry: it's a fruit~" or "It's blue, with a drop~"). After two misses with the same thing, the right box glows. A small hint also appears if nothing happens for a while.
- When the room is tidy, confetti falls. Tap the green arrow for the next room. Tidy all 4 rooms to collect 4 stars and move on to the next level.
Controls
- Phone / tablet: tap a box at the bottom and the thing in the middle of the room flies into it. You can also hold the thing and drag it onto a box.
- Tap the thing in the middle of the room to hear its name.
- Mouse: click a box, or drag the thing into a box.
- Keyboard: ← → choose a box, Space / Enter puts the thing in, or press 1–4 to pick a box directly. Esc returns to the title; on the title screen, 1–6 jump to a level.
For parents
- Made for ages 3–5, with later levels (3–4 boxes) that still challenge 6–8 year olds. Children practise classification: spotting what things have in common and grouping them by one rule, an early foundation for maths and logic. The rule changes from room to room, so kids learn to switch what they pay attention to (kind, color, size, place). Things say their names when sorted or tapped, which builds vocabulary.
- Color rounds never rely on color alone: every color has a fixed mark (red heart, blue drop, yellow star, green leaf) printed on both the things and the boxes, so children with color vision differences can play too.
- There is no losing, no score to lose and no timer: a wrong box simply sends the thing back with a short explanation, and two misses light up the right box. There is no chat, no in-app purchases, no ads and no outbound links, and no name or personal information is ever asked for.
- Only the current level, finished levels and the sound setting are remembered, in this device's browser (the game still works if saving is blocked). Sound can be switched off with the speaker button, and the game also works offline.
