A reasoning game that trains spatial imagination. You see a cube net with pictures on it, and 3 or 4 cubes seen from above at an angle. Only one of them can really be folded from that net. Each of the others hides a flaw: two opposite faces showing at once, three faces going round a corner in mirror order, or a picture turned the wrong way.
There are 5 chapters and 30 levels, each adding a new twist: a warm-up with colours and symmetric shapes, then corner order, then bars and twin dots that look the same after a half turn, and finally arrows, hearts and houses that point one way on every face. Every puzzle is generated from the 11 cube nets, and all 24 ways of turning the folded cube are checked, so there is always exactly one right answer.
A wrong pick never ends the game: it explains why that cube cannot be folded and outlines the faces involved, on the cube and on the net. If you are stuck, a hint marks the opposite faces, and a second hint shows the net folding up in 3D. Every chapter also has endless random practice.
How to play
- Tap "Play", or pick a chapter and level from "Levels". The first time you open a chapter, a "Detective notes" card tells you what to look out for.
- Look at the net at the top (on the left in landscape), fold it into a cube in your head, and tap the one cube it can really make.
- A wrong pick is not a fail: that cube fades, the line at the top tells you what is wrong with it (opposite faces together, corner order reversed, or a picture turned) and orange dashes outline the faces involved. Just pick again from the rest.
- Stuck? Tap "Hint". The first time, the three pairs of opposite faces are marked on the net. The second time, you watch the net fold up in 3D; drag to turn it, or unfold it again.
- Pick the right cube to close the case. No wrong picks and no hints earns 3 stars; each wrong pick or hint takes one away, down to 1. Clearing 4 levels of a chapter opens the next.
Controls
- Phone / tablet: tap the cube you think is right. Tap "Hint" to mark opposite faces, and tap it again to watch the net fold up; drag with a finger to turn the folded cube.
- Mouse: click a cube or a button; in the folding view, click and drag to turn the cube.
- Keyboard: keys 1–4 pick an answer, H hint, M mute, Esc back to the menu or close a window. On the level screen, ← → change chapter and 1–6 pick a level.
For parents
- Made mainly for ages 13 and up, and 9–12-year-olds can start with the colour warm-up in Chapter 1. Cube nets are a staple of school maths and aptitude tests; this game turns them into step-by-step reasoning, from one-line rules such as "opposite faces never show together" up to tracking corner order and the direction of each picture. It builds mental rotation and spatial reasoning.
- There is no timer and there are no lives. A wrong pick only explains what went wrong and points at the faces involved, and play goes on; hints and the 3D folding view are always available. Everything is soft colours and simple shapes, with no violence, scary content or gambling.
- No chat, in-app purchases, ads, outbound links or online leaderboards, and no personal details are ever asked for. Stars, seen chapter notes and the mute setting are stored only in this device's browser, and the game also works offline.
